PETERBOROUGH SEX OFFENDER ANTHONY BRIDGESTOCK JAILED FOR BREACHING CONDITIONS
A convicted sex offender from Peterborough has been sentenced to prison after repeatedly deleting his internet search history.
Anthony Bridgestock, 36, was subject to a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) that prohibited him from using devices connected to the internet unless they recorded search history.
He was also obliged to surrender his phone and electronic devices to authorities upon request.
On October 16, officers visited Bridgestock’s residence on Crowland Road, Eye, and examined his iPhone.
They observed gaps in his search history, which prompted them to seize the device.
Forensic analysis subsequently revealed over 300 instances of search history deletion.
Bridgestock pleaded guilty to violating his SHPO and breaching a suspended sentence.
He was sentenced to one year and four months in prison at Cambridge Crown Court yesterday, March 3.
PC Zoe Rogers, who led the investigation, commented: "We work tirelessly to keep track of offenders and keep our communities safe.
Bridgestock proved he couldn't adhere to his sexual harm prevention order requirements, and I’m glad justice has been served today."
