OXFORDSHIRE TEENAGER ATTEMPTED SEXUAL COMMUNICATION

A paedophile who tried to sexually communicate with a child has been sentenced for a string of offences.

Between October 26 and 29, 2024, Eric attempted to engage in sexually explicit WhatsApp conversations with a person he believed to be under 16.

On November 11, 2024, he was found to have created five indecent images of a child on a mobile phone.

Between May 19 and July 19, 2025, he also failed to provide the BitLocker code to unlock a laptop when required to do so.

Eric was handed an 18-month community order, including up to 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 120 hours of unpaid work.

He was also made subject to a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for five years.
