BOURNEMOUTH PAEDOPHILE PLEADS GUILTY AFTER COST UK STING

Andy Maidment, from Bournemouth, has pleaded guilty at the last moment on the day of his trial, following a sting operation by the Child Online Safety Team UK (COST).

Maidment was originally due to stand trial but changed his plea to guilty in court, admitting to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

The case has now been adjourned for sentencing, with a date yet to be confirmed.

COST UK confirmed in their statement: “Yet again another one who thought he’d try his luck… day of the trial today, we all turned up – he changed his plea to guilty.

WE WILL TURN UP.”
