Dunfermline Sexual Abuser
Andrew Scott, a 36-year-old resident of Dunfermline, has been convicted of sexually assaulting a woman in her own home in Moray. Following a trial at Elgin Sheriff Court, it was established that Scott made lewd and suggestive remarks towards the victim, physically grabbed her, and straddled her during the incident.
Despite the presence of CCTV footage from the woman's residence capturing the events, Scott of 51 Leishman Drive continued to deny certain aspects of the charge. Sheriff Chris Dickson noted the seriousness of his actions, stating, 'This behaviour was highly inappropriate and sexually motivated, it must have been extremely upsetting for the woman.'
Scott has already been placed on the sex offenders register and has now been sentenced to two years of supervision as part of his punishment.
