Berinsfield Child Sexual Abuser
In June 2008, Andrew Rawlings, a 44-year-old resident of Fane Drive, Berinsfield, was dealt a suspended jail sentence after being convicted of possessing indecent images of children. Rawlings was found guilty of six counts related to making indecent images of minors following a trial at Oxford Crown Court conducted last month. He was acquitted of 13 additional charges by the jury and another four charges were dismissed after the Crown Prosecution Service withdrew their case due to lack of evidence.

Recorder Harold Persaud sentenced Rawlings to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered him to complete a 24-month supervision program. The judge also mandated that Rawlings register as a sex offender for seven years.
