A man convicted of child sexual offenses has received a prison sentence of eight years after being found guilty in court.
Andrew Lucas, 56, from Shareshill in south Staffordshire, sexually abused a young survivor several years ago.
The survivor later came forward courageously to disclose the abuse.
Law enforcement officers brought Lucas in for interrogation, during which he denied the allegations.
Throughout the investigation, specialist officers provided support to the survivor while collecting evidence that led to multiple charges against Lucas.
During the trial at Stafford Crown Court, a jury convicted Lucas on ten counts of historical child sexual offenses.
These included six counts of indecent assault of a boy and four counts of gross indecency with a boy.
On Friday, June 14, at Birmingham Crown Court, Lucas was sentenced to serve eight years in prison for his crimes.
