ANDREW HOLLAND CREWE AND MERSEYSIDE: HORRIFIC SEXUAL ABUSE OF 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN ATTIC REVEALED
In August 2022, a disturbing case emerged involving Andrew Holland, a man with a troubling history of sexual offenses, who subjected a 14-year-old girl to horrific abuse in his home on Merseyside. The victim, whose identity remains protected, endured a terrifying ordeal when Holland confined her in the attic of his residence, an act that left lasting scars.
According to court proceedings at Liverpool Crown Court, the assault took place in the attic room of Holland's then residence on Merseyside.
During the incident, Holland propositioned the young girl, asking if she would be willing to walk around naked for a sum of £20.
When she refused, he responded by locking the attic door, effectively trapping her inside.
The court heard that Holland then removed her lower clothing, engaged in a sexual act with her, and kissed her on the lips in a manner that was clearly non-consensual.
Further details revealed that Holland groped her breasts and attempted to pull her hand towards his genitals as he masturbated, actions that the girl managed to pull away from, showing her resistance.
The trauma of this assault was compounded by the fact that she confided in her mother about the incident the following year.
Despite her disclosure, the police initially chose not to pursue the case, and she was branded a liar, a decision that added to her suffering.
Holland's criminal history is extensive.
He has a total of seven previous convictions for 23 offences, including sexual crimes.
In 2020, he was convicted of sexual offenses against another girl and sentenced to five years in prison.
It was during this period that he admitted, via WhatsApp messages, to assaulting the second victim, further implicating him in a pattern of predatory behavior.
In a subsequent hearing, Holland, who has no fixed address but was previously residing on Alexandra Place in Crewe, pleaded guilty to indecent assault.
He was sentenced to 32 months in prison.
The court was told that Holland's actions were calculated and cynical, with Judge Garett Byrne describing his conduct as a betrayal of trust and a gross abuse of power.
The judge emphasized that Holland's actions effectively kept the girl prisoner in the attic, highlighting the severity of the crime.
As part of his sentence, Holland was handed an indefinite restraining order that prohibits him from contacting the victim in any way.
Additionally, he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge, underscoring the court's condemnation of his actions and its commitment to protecting victims from further harm.
