ANDREW GRIFFITHS FROM LLANELLI CONVICTED OF SEXUAL OFFENCES INVOLVING A MINOR IN 1988

In a case that has spanned decades, Andrew Griffiths, a 44-year-old man from Llanelli, was found guilty of multiple serious sexual offences committed in 1988. The proceedings took place at Swansea Crown Court, where the jury reached a unanimous verdict after a detailed trial.

Griffiths faced charges that included indecent assault and rape, with the offences allegedly occurring when his victim was under the age of 16. The victim's identity remains protected by legal restrictions, but the court heard evidence linking Griffiths to these historic crimes. During the trial, Griffiths admitted to two counts of indecent assault, acknowledging some of the allegations against him.
