ANDREW GILMOUR, FORMER BOYS’ BRIGADE OFFICER IN [CITY], ACQUITTED OF CHILD ABUSE CLAIMS
A 78-year-old former Boys’ Brigade officer, Andrew Gilmour, has been cleared of charges accusing him of abusing two boys in the early 1990s.The trial concluded with majority 'not proven' verdicts.
Gilmour was alleged to have behaved inappropriately at the church hall and at his home.
In 2016, he served two years in prison for abusing boys in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
He continues to deny the allegations, and the court took into account his previously good character when considering the case.
