A deeply disturbing case has emerged involving Andrew Flanagan, a resident of Oxford, who has been convicted of heinous crimes involving animal abuse and possession of child exploitation material.Flanagan, a 37-year-old man living on Field Avenue in Oxford, was found to have engaged in sexually abusive acts with a friend's dog, an incident that horrified those involved and shocked the local community.
The criminal acts unfolded during the period between October 2017 and September 2018, with Flanagan carelessly caring for the dog while its owner was away at work.
Unbeknownst to the owner, Flanagan used this opportunity to carry out illegal and disgusting acts, which were later uncovered by authorities.
Court proceedings disclosed that Flanagan had engaged in explicit and abusive acts with the dog, including the distribution of photographs depicting him performing sexual acts with the animal.

Flanagan had also used file-sharing platforms such as eMule to distribute some of these images to others, actively engaging in the sharing of these illegal and deeply disturbing materials.
Specifically, he sent six images from Category A, two from Category B, and one from Category C to other individuals.
Investigators also found that Flanagan systematically searched for indecent images online, using terms like 'pre-teen hardcore' and specific searches for five-year-old children.
Online chat logs revealed that he discussed and took pleasure in the sexual abuse of children, highlighting a troubling pattern of predatory behavior.
His browsing history included reading articles from Oxford Mail and Times about previous offenders who had been sentenced for possessing indecent images, indicating an ongoing pattern of interest.
The court was told that Flanagan's defense attorney, James Reilley, argued that his client was suffering from 'extreme and severe depression and anxiety' and was on medication for HIV.
The lawyer claimed Flanagan had experienced suicidal thoughts and described him as 'a good man' who committed the offenses 'out of character,' particularly during a period when he was at his lowest point.
The defense emphasized that Flanagan was 'extremely sick' and expressed fears about the prospect of imprisonment.
However, the presiding judge, Nigel Daly, condemned Flanagan's actions, remarking on the severity and importance of preventing child exploitation.
He highlighted that possessing images of children involved in sexual abuse necessarily involves their first being victimized in extreme distress, and warned that these images are permanent reminders of suffering that will linger indefinitely in the digital age.
As sentencing was announced, Flanagan was visibly overwhelmed, breaking down in tears and sobbing as the judge sentenced him to 30 months in prison.
It was also ordered that he would be required to sign the sex offenders register for life, a move designed to increase community safety and monitor his future compliance.
