Prior to his sentencing, Cork pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to his inappropriate conduct with children.

Additionally, he admitted to possessing indecent images of children and creating such images, with a total of three counts related to these offenses.
The investigation into Cork’s activities was initiated in May 2022 when Norfolk Police contacted Cheshire Police regarding a man who had been engaging in sexual communications with a nine-year-old child in Norfolk.
The suspect was using a mobile phone number that was traced back to the Crewe area, prompting further investigation.
Cheshire Police’s Online Child Abuse Investigation Team (OCAIT) took charge of the case.
Through detailed inquiries and digital forensic analysis, officers identified Cork as the individual responsible for the misconduct.
On Thursday, July 14, authorities executed a search warrant at Cork’s residence, leading to his arrest.
During the raid, officers seized several electronic devices, including a laptop and two mobile phones, which were later examined for evidence.
During police interviews, Cork admitted to engaging in sexually explicit communications with the nine-year-old girl in Norfolk.
He also acknowledged that indecent images of children were stored on his devices.
However, he denied any sexual attraction to children, a claim that was scrutinized during the investigation.
Following his arrest, Cork was released on bail while authorities conducted further investigations, including a comprehensive analysis of all seized electronic devices.
The forensic examination uncovered over 300 indecent images of children and more than 60 sexually explicit videos involving minors.
The investigation also revealed that Cork had been communicating sexually with an 11-year-old girl in Birmingham, adding another serious dimension to his offenses.
Subsequently, Cork was formally charged with multiple counts related to the possession and distribution of indecent images, as well as the sexual communication with minors.
His case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable children from online predators.
