FIFTEEN MEN SENTENCED FOLLOWING NON-RECENT CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION
Fifteen men have been sentenced to a collective 188 years in prison for their involvement in the sexual assault and exploitation of a minor in Bradford.The victim, aged between 14 and 18 during the time of the offenses, was abused between 2007 and 2011.
Our officers approached the survivor in November 2015 after identifying her as a potential victim of child sexual exploitation.
It was noted in police records that she had been reported missing multiple times, leading to a formal investigation in February 2016.
Several trials have been conducted over the last two years; however, reporting restrictions were in place to preserve the fairness of the proceedings.
As of June 3rd, those restrictions have been officially removed by the presiding judge.
