LONDON MAN JAILED FOR ATTEMPTED RAPE IN DOORSTEP ASSAULT
A man named Ameyew Boateng-Amoua, aged 26, originating from Milton Keynes, was convicted and sentenced for attempting to assault and rape a woman on her doorstep in London.According to the report, he followed the woman from her workplace and waited outside her flat before attempting to carry out the assault.
The woman fought him off until a neighbor arrived to assist her.
Despite police having recovered his DNA from the scene, Boateng-Amoua denied being the perpetrator.
Judge Deborah Taylor stated: "Your assault and attempt to rape her was only stopped by the bravery in fighting you off and the arrival of her neighbour." The court sentenced him to a minimum of two and a half years in prison for sexual assault and causing actual bodily harm.
It was also noted that he presented a serious risk of harm to the public and women in particular, and he was recommended for deportation upon release.
