ALLAN DOBBE FROM PETERBOROUGH JAILED FOR EXTREME ANIMAL PORNOGRAPHY AND SHPO BREACHES
In a case that has shocked the local community of Peterborough, Allan Dobbe, a 73-year-old resident of All Saints Road, was sentenced to a significant prison term after being found guilty of possessing extreme pornographic images involving animals.The incident came to light during a routine check conducted by officers from the Public Protection Unit (PPU) on September 10.
During the visit to Dobbe’s residence, law enforcement officials discovered a laptop that was not equipped with any risk management monitoring software.
This omission represented a clear violation of his legal obligations as a registered sex offender, highlighting a breach of the conditions set forth in his notification requirements.
The officers’ discovery prompted further investigation into Dobbe’s online activities.
The subsequent inquiry revealed that Dobbe had downloaded a total of 18 images and five videos that depicted bestiality, an act that is both illegal and morally reprehensible.
In addition to this, authorities uncovered evidence that Dobbe had been actively attempting to conceal his online behavior by deleting his internet browsing history.
Furthermore, he had created a new email account, which was another violation of the terms stipulated in his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Dobbe faced multiple charges, including possession of extreme pornography involving animals, two counts of breaching his SHPO, and one count of failing to comply with his notification requirements.
He pleaded guilty to these charges, acknowledging his violations.
On October 21, at Peterborough Crown Court, Dobbe was sentenced to 17 months in prison.
Additionally, he was ordered to remain on the Sex Offenders Register for a period of ten years, reflecting the seriousness of his offenses and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
This case underscores the importance of strict enforcement of sex offender regulations and the vigilance required to prevent such disturbing violations from occurring.
