Alistair Leiper

Streatham Sexual Abuser

February 2017 ‘Truly abhorrent’ Police officer jailed for luring 14-year-old girls into online sex acts by pretending to be same age A serving Westminster police officer has been jailed for two years after he lured two 14-year-old girls into performing compromising acts online while pretending to be of a similar age. Alistair Leiper’s actions have been described as “truly abhorrent” which were “made worse by the fact that he is police officer who is supposed to protect the vulnerable”. Detectives from the Met’s Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Command launched an investigation after they received information that a man – who was using two pseudonyms – had been communicating online with a child. On February 26 2015, officers executed a warrant at an address in south London and found four indecent movies of children along with evidence of online chat where Leiper had claimed to be aged in his mid to late teens. The officers managed to identify two 14-year-old girls within the UK who had been chatting online with Leiper. The 37-year-old was arrested on August 27 2015 and subsequently suspended from duty. Leiper was charged with the offences on 24 May 2016, and now that criminal proceedings are complete, will be subject to a misconduct review. He was sentenced on Friday (March 3) at Southwark Crown Court after admitting to three counts of attempting to engage in sexual activity in the presence of a child and one count of causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity at an earlier hearing on February 3. Leiper was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for ten years and the Sexual Health Prevention Order for five years. February 2017 Paedo police officer faces jail after making two 14-year-olds perform sex acts on Skype A perverted police officer is facing jail for making two 14-year-old carry out sex acts while he watched on Skype. PC Alistair Leiper, 37, also filmed another teenage girl performing a sex act, a court heard. The Met officer’s colleagues discovered three sex tapes on his computer when they raided his home in Streatham, South London. Leiper has been suspended from duty at the Westminster borough since his arrest in August 2015 and will now be thrown out of the force. He admitted three charges attempting to engage in a sexual activity in the presence of a child and one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. A further count of making indecent photos of a child and one count of attempting to engage in a sexual activity in the presence of a child will lie on file. Judge Joanna Korner said: “With something as serious as this I would need, any judge would need, to know whether he is dangerous. “I’m going to order a pre-sentence report purely from the point of view of whether or not he is dangerous. “There doesn’t appear to be any other proposal than a sentence of imprisonment.” Leiper was released on conditional bail until sentencing next month at Southwark Crown Court.
