Irvine Child Sexual Abuser
In October 2017, an Irvine man named Alistair Niven Goldie, aged 49, was convicted of engaging in sexual activity with a girl under 18 and subsequently appeared for sentencing in Kilmarnock on Thursday, October 19. Goldie, who now lives on Glencairn Square in Kilmarnock, had previously admitted in August to having sexual intercourse with the girl on multiple occasions between July 7, 2014, and March 22, 2016. These incidents took place at two addresses in Irvine.
Goldie admitted that he engaged in sexual intercourse with the girl while in a position of trust, noting that he was a member of the same household as her mother’s ex-partner at the time.
As a result of his guilty plea, Goldie was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for three years. Additionally, he was given a Community Payback Order that includes supervision and 300 hours of unpaid work.
