ALI MAJID KADIR AND HIS SHOCKING CRIME IN MANCHESTER
A 21-year-old man named Ali Majid Kadir from Upper Chorlton Road, Whalley Range, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of committing a brutal series of sexual assaults against a young woman in Manchester. The crimes, involving multiple counts of rape, have resulted in Kadir receiving a sentence of twelve years for each count.
Fortunately, these sentences are set to run concurrently, meaning he will serve twelve years in total.
In addition to his imprisonment, Kadir has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for life, a measure that underscores the severity of his actions and the ongoing concern for public safety.
The victim, a woman aged 20 at the time of the attack, was in the Longsight area, where she had been visiting a friend's residence on Sunday, September 21, 2008.
After spending some time there, she decided to leave and start her journey home.
She initially wandered around the neighborhood for approximately an hour, probably disoriented or unsure of her surroundings.
During this period, she encountered Kadir and another unidentified man, approaching her and offering assistance after she asked for directions.
Trusting their offer, the woman accepted their help, and the trio began to walk together through the streets of Manchester.
Over the course of the next hour, the three individuals continued moving through various parts of the city, eventually arriving at Alexandra Park.
During this walk, Kadir and his accomplice began consuming alcohol and smoking cannabis, substances that appeared to impair their judgment and behavior.
The victim, increasingly feeling uncomfortable and apprehensive, decided to attempt to leave the situation.
However, she was forcibly restrained, with one of the men grabbing her and stripping her naked before repeatedly committing the heinous act of rape.
The assault was described as violent and degrading, leaving the victim devastated.
After Kadir and his accomplice left the scene, she managed to put on her clothes and sought help.
She then approached a nearby street and flagged down a taxi, which took her to the Queen of Hearts pub located on Wilmslow Road.
When her friends arrived to check on her, they found her in a distressed state—described by one as being 'hysterical' and 'shaking vigorously.' The incident prompted immediate action from law enforcement authorities.
Police were called to intervene, and an extensive investigation was launched.
DNA samples collected from the victim conclusively matched those of Kadir, leading to his swift arrest and subsequent charges related to the assault.
During police interviews, Detective Constable Charlotte Nutter of Longsight CID remarked on the nature of the incident, stating, “The victim was clearly lost and becoming upset when she came across Kadir and the other man.
He used the situation to his advantage and subjected the woman to a completely vile attack.” Detective Nutter also expressed her hope that the sentence would aid the victim in moving forward from her trauma, stating, “Understandably, the victim is still haunted by what has happened, but I hope today's sentence will help her move on in some small way.
I am pleased Kadir will now spend many years behind bars where he belongs.” Authorities are still seeking Mamand Rasoulpour in connection with the attack, indicating that the investigation remains ongoing.
This case highlights the grave dangers faced by vulnerable individuals and the importance of a dedicated justice system to hold perpetrators accountable for their heinous crimes in Manchester.
