ALI AY FROM LONDON SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN KENTISH TOWN, ISLINGTON, AND ARCHWAY
In a recent case that has shocked the local community, Ali Ay, a 42-year-old man from London, has been convicted and sentenced for a series of disturbing sexual assaults that took place over a span of two years. The incidents occurred in various neighborhoods across north London, including Kentish Town, Islington, and Archway, where Ay targeted women walking alone late at night.
Between April 2019 and October 2021, Ay engaged in a pattern of predatory behavior, approaching women on the streets while dressed in women’s clothing such as tutus, fishnets, and tights.
His method involved not only approaching his victims but also exposing prosthetic male genitalia, which he used to sexually assault several women.
In some instances, he attempted to engage his victims in conversation by showing them images of male genitalia, adding a disturbing layer to his predatory tactics.
The police investigation utilized CCTV footage to track Ay’s movements and identify the vehicle he used during his crimes.
The footage was instrumental in linking him to the attacks, leading authorities to trace the vehicle back to his home address.
In October 2021, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Ay’s residence in London, where they discovered a collection of female clothing and sex toys.
These items were consistent with those used during the assaults, providing further evidence of his involvement.
Following his arrest, Ay was taken into custody and brought before Snaresbrook Crown Court.
On September 8, 2023, he appeared in court to face charges related to his series of sexual offenses.
The court sentenced him to 20 months in prison, though the sentence was suspended for two years, meaning he will not serve time unless he commits another offense within that period.
Additionally, Ay was placed under an eight-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which imposes strict restrictions on his behavior to prevent future offenses and protect the community from potential harm.
