BRISTOL TEEN SENTENCED FOR ONLINE GROOMING AND CHILD EXPLOITATION
A 19-year-old named Alfie Williams-Pope from Hall Street in Bedminster admitted to trying to meet a child after sexual grooming.He posed as a woman online under the alias Zoe Jones to contact young boys and persuade them to send obscene videos and photographs of themselves.
The court heard he used a false Facebook account and claimed to be female to lure victims into sharing sexual content.
Police identified two boys who had been contacted via Facebook messenger by Zoe Jones and found videos of them performing sex acts, which led to Williams-Pope.
On execution of a search warrant at his house, officers recovered three Category A videos of boys aged 12 and 13 and four Category B images of boys aged 11 to 15.
Williams-Pope did not comment during police interviews.
His defense argued he was embarrassed and was willing to engage with the sex offender program.
The judge handed him a three-year community order with a sex offender program, ordered him to register as a sex offender for five years, and banned him from working with children and vulnerable adults.
