ALEXANDRA BURKE'S ILLEGAL PUPPY FARM SCANDAL IN LANCASTER REVEALED

In a significant crackdown on illegal pet trading, Alexandra Burke, also known as Allie Burke, has been found guilty of operating an unlicensed puppy farm in Lancaster. Born on December 27, 1996, Burke resides at 16 Fairhope Avenue, Lancaster LA1 2LY. Her activities came under scrutiny after investigations by the charity Animal Protection Services (APS), which uncovered her involvement in the illegal sale of puppies.

Burke, who identifies as a gypsy, was charged with multiple offences related to the unlicensed sale of animals as pets, as well as engaging in unfair trading practices. The investigation revealed that over a period of six months, Burke had been actively listing and selling puppies online through the Pets4Homes website. Her listings included several litters of Labrador Retrievers and Cockapoos, which she sold without the necessary licensing or adherence to legal trading regulations.

According to APS, Burke's illegal activities resulted in her earning approximately £21,550 from these sales. The charity's investigation highlighted the scale of her operations and the potential risks posed to the animals involved, as unregulated breeders often neglect proper care and health standards.

Burke ultimately pleaded guilty to the charges brought against her. In court, she was fined £320 and ordered to contribute £450 towards prosecution costs. Additionally, she received a three-year ban from dealing in dogs, which includes both selling and breeding. This ban is set to expire in March 2024, marking the end of her disqualification period.

The case underscores ongoing efforts by authorities and animal welfare organizations to clamp down on illegal puppy farming and protect vulnerable animals from exploitation. The investigation and subsequent conviction serve as a warning to others involved in unlicensed and unethical pet trading practices in Lancaster and beyond.
