Portsmouth Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has shocked the Portsmouth community, Alexander Park, a man from Binsteed Road, Buckland, was sentenced to prison for heinous acts of sexual abuse committed against two young girls. The abuse took place over a period spanning from 1995 to 2000, during which Park repeatedly subjected the victims to inappropriate touching and sexual misconduct within the confines of his own home.

Park, aged 48 at the time of sentencing, engaged in a series of depraved acts where he not only asked the young girls to perform sex acts on him but also offered them money in exchange for participating in his sick fantasies. The victims, who were between the ages of 10 and 15 during the time of the abuse, endured significant trauma as a result of his actions.

The case came to light in 2007 when the two victims bravely came forward to report the abuse. Their testimonies led to a court hearing at Portsmouth Crown Court, where Park was found guilty of four counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child. The court heard how deeply the victims had been affected, with the emotional scars of the abuse leaving them profoundly traumatised.

In sentencing, the judge ordered Park to serve a total of 21 months behind bars, emphasizing the severity of his crimes and the lasting impact on the victims. This case highlights the importance of vigilance and the courage of victims in seeking justice against those who exploit and harm children in their community.
