July 2009 Child sex abuser jailed A HAIRDRESSER has been jailed after sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl from Winchester. Alberto Taglianetti, aged 36, of Constable Court, Andover, pleaded not guilty to seven counts of abusing the girl over a period of several months. Winchester Crown Court heard that in one incident in September 2007 the girl was sexually abused by Taglian-etti when he had volunteered to babysit after her mother was rushed to hospital to be with the girl’s dying father. Mr Recorder Nigel Pascoe QC said: “This was breathtakingly arrogant abuse.” Taglianetti was found guilty of four charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child, and two charges of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He was sentenced to three-and-a-half years, and will spend half of that term in prison before being released on licence. He will be put on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
