Forres Child Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the Moray community, Alastair Mackintosh, a 29-year-old tradesman from Forres, has admitted to engaging in a series of sexual misconducts involving multiple teenage girls over a span of more than a decade. The allegations detail a pattern of coercive and predatory behavior that began as early as 2006 and continued until 2016, with Mackintosh targeting vulnerable young girls in the Moray area.
According to court records, Mackintosh would lure teenage girls into his vehicle by promising them alcohol, a tactic he used to gain their trust and compliance. He would often take them to secluded, quiet locations in rural parts of Moray, where he would then engage in sexual acts with them. One particularly alarming incident involved him offering to pay for an abortion after a girl expressed concern that she might be pregnant, highlighting the manipulative and exploitative nature of his actions.
The court heard that Mackintosh’s final known victim was a 15-year-old girl whom he approached in 2016. She had noticed him driving around her neighborhood in St Margarets Court, smiling and waving at her over several days. Eventually, Mackintosh pulled up beside her, asked her age, and inquired if she could keep a secret. After exchanging phone numbers, he invited her to his home, where he attempted to initiate sexual activity. The girl was asked repeatedly to remove her clothes, and Mackintosh kissed her on the face and body, claiming he was being complimentary. Despite her discomfort, she went along with his advances, partly out of fear and confusion.
He then took her to his bedroom, but she insisted she needed to leave. Mackintosh told her, “We will be quick then,” and after she left, he continued to pursue her. On a subsequent visit, they engaged in sexual intercourse. Following this, he returned her clothes and told her she could go home. When she later feared she might be pregnant, Mackintosh urged her not to tell anyone and offered to pay for an abortion through messages, further demonstrating his manipulative tactics.
The pattern of abuse began years earlier, with Mackintosh targeting three girls in 2006 alone. His first victim was just 13 years old at the time. Over the next three years, he would take her for drives in his car, often in remote, quiet areas, where he would ask her to remove her clothing. She sometimes complied to keep him quiet, but when she refused, he would call her “boring.” He also removed his own clothing and encouraged her to touch him. She recounted to police that she was in his car almost every night during this period.
Another girl, also 13, contacted Mackintosh seeking to buy alcohol. Over the course of a year, he attempted to kiss her and requested naked photographs via social media. A third girl, also 13, was befriended on social media, after which he offered to buy her alcohol and later picked her up from her home. She remembered being taken to a secluded spot where he asked for a kiss, which she nervously laughed off because she had never kissed a boy before. He then inappropriately touched her under her clothing.
In 2007, Mackintosh targeted a 15-year-old girl after initially taking her for rides in his car. Their outings often ended with them parking in secluded areas where sexual activity took place. The girl described feeling pressured into intimacy during these encounters.
During the court proceedings, Mackintosh’s defense solicitor, Matthew O’Neill, acknowledged that his client was aware that a prison sentence was likely inevitable given the nature of the charges. Mackintosh pleaded guilty to multiple counts, including indecent behavior with five girls, engaging in sexual activity with minors under 16, and other related offenses. He was remanded in custody until March 12, pending reports to be prepared for sentencing.
District authorities and community members continue to process the gravity of these allegations, which reveal a disturbing pattern of exploitation and abuse by a man who used his position and trust to prey on vulnerable teenagers in the Moray region, particularly in Forres.
