ALAN TODD SENTENCED IN EDINBURGH FOR HORRIFIC SEXUAL ABUSE OF THREE GIRLS
Alan Todd, aged 54, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after a series of heinous crimes committed against three young girls in Edinburgh.His offending spanned nearly two decades, beginning in 2001 and continuing until 2019, during which he targeted vulnerable victims at various addresses across the city.
According to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), Todd's predatory actions included disturbing sexual assaults on the first two victims while they were asleep in their beds.
The severity of his misconduct extended beyond physical abuse, as he also wrote inappropriate letters and a card to one of the girls, professing his love and expressing a desire to marry her.
His depravity was further demonstrated when he assaulted the same girl by grabbing her by the throat.
The third victim, who was under 13 years old, endured repeated sexual assaults and rape over a period of three years.
These acts of abuse caused profound trauma, with the victims suffering long-lasting psychological effects.
Todd's arrest came in May 2020, following police investigations into his conduct.
