Innerleithen Verbal Abuser
Alan Thomson, a 62-year-old resident of Innerleithen, has been ordered to pay a fine of £200 following a court hearing related to his recent conduct. The incident in question took place at his residence in Caddon Court on January 31, where Thomson was found guilty of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

Thomson had previously entered a guilty plea to the charges, and during the court proceedings, it was noted that he had maintained good behavior over a period of deferred sentencing. This period of good conduct was taken into account by the court when considering the appropriate penalty.

Sheriff Peter Paterson presided over the case and, after reviewing the circumstances, decided to impose the fine along with a £10 victim surcharge. The court's decision reflects the seriousness of the behavior while also acknowledging Thomson's prior conduct and cooperation during the legal process.
