ALAN MCLOUGHLIN JAILED FOR PERVERTED ACTS INVOLVING CHILDREN IN LIVERPOOL
A man named Alan James McLoughlin, aged 37, has been sentenced to 27 months in prison following a conviction for attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child under the age of 13. The sentencing took place at Liverpool Crown Court, where he was found guilty of multiple charges related to his inappropriate conduct.McLoughlin, who resides on Tedbury Close in Kirkby, is also mandated to sign the sex offenders' register for a period of ten years as part of his sentence. The case centered around a young girl of infant school age, who was subjected to this disturbing incident.
The victim's mother, visibly distressed but now expressing a sense of relief, shared her emotional response to her daughter’s ordeal and the court’s ruling. She recounted that the incident occurred during a New Year’s Eve party in 2016, when McLoughlin exposed himself to her young daughter and then asked her to 'kiss it.'
Initially, the mother and her family were unaware of the full extent of what had transpired. It was only the following morning, when the child confided in her brother about the encounter, that the family realized the severity of McLoughlin’s actions. The mother described the entire experience as 'horrendous' and 'a nightmare' for their family.
During the trial, the jury reached a unanimous verdict, confirming McLoughlin’s guilt. Following the conviction, the victim’s mother expressed that she now feels a profound sense of closure. She stated, 'I feel so relieved and I know that my baby is now safe.' She further revealed that the ordeal has had a lasting impact on her family, noting that her daughter still sees McLoughlin in the street on occasion, which causes her to become panic-stricken and upset.
The mother concluded by emphasizing her satisfaction that McLoughlin has been sentenced and will no longer pose a threat to children. Her words reflect a pain-wracked but hopeful stance, as she hopes this conviction will prevent any further harm from being inflicted upon other vulnerable youngsters.
