ALAN JENKINS, BOURNEMOUTH SEX OFFENDER, GOES MISSING AFTER PRISON RELEASE
In a concerning development, authorities are actively searching for Alan Jenkins, a known sex offender who has vanished following his recent release from prison.Jenkins, aged 50, was incarcerated earlier this year after failing to adhere to the notification obligations mandated by the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
His release came on Friday, September 16, after he served part of a 24-week sentence imposed for possessing indecent images of children.
Despite completing his sentence and being released on licence, Jenkins has not fulfilled the necessary requirements to notify authorities of his whereabouts, which has prompted a police manhunt.
Dorset Police have issued a public appeal, urging anyone with information about his location to come forward.
Detective Superintendent Chris Naughton of Dorset Police stated, “I am releasing a photo of Alan Patrick Jenkins in the hope that someone will know of his whereabouts.” According to police reports, Jenkins was last seen in Bournemouth on the day he was released from prison.
While there is no current evidence suggesting that Jenkins poses an immediate threat to the public, authorities advise caution.
Detective Naughton emphasized, “While we have no information that Alan presents a direct risk to the public, anyone who sees Alan should not approach him but immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.” Jenkins is described as a white male, approximately six feet tall, with a medium build.
He has short brown hair with greying strands and striking blue eyes.
The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any sightings promptly.
Anyone who spots Jenkins or has relevant information is encouraged to contact Dorset Police through their official website at dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55160140682.
