Old Colwyn Child Sexual Abuser
For sexually assaulting two children, Alan Drew Old Colwyn Paedophile has been imprisoned for six years. Following a jury conviction of 11 offences, Alan Drew, of Cwrt Sefton, Old Colwyn, appeared before Caernarfon Crown Court for punishment on Thursday, July 25. The offences included sexual actions with a minor, sexual communication with a child, encouraging a child to participate in sexual activity, voyeurism, and producing offensive photos of a minor. Between January 2019 and June 2021, the 50-year-old committed these crimes against two young females. The case was investigated after one of the victims told a friend about being sexually attacked by Alan Drew, which led to a police report in June 2021. Alan Drew apologized in a Snapchat message to the victim, saying that it would only happen again if she wanted. Later, he was arrested, initially released under investigation, and was finally charged in June 2023. He was also issued a sexual harm prevention order, a restraining order covering the victims, and must register as a lifetime sex offender with the police. Detective Constable Delyth Jones, the investigating officer, commended the victims for their bravery, noting that Drew showed no respect for their experiences and made them recount their events in court, which was challenging. Thanks to the bravery of the witnesses and digital forensic work on his devices, the jury was able to see through his lies. Knowing that Alan Drew will no longer be able to endanger children, this sentence aims to allow the victims to move on with their lives.
