ALAN BURGESS OF PETERBOROUGH SENTENCED TO 18 YEARS FOR ABUSING YOUNG GIRLS

In a case that has shocked the community of Peterborough, Alan Burgess, a 65-year-old former army veteran, has been handed down a substantial prison sentence after being convicted of a series of heinous sexual offenses. The court proceedings revealed that Burgess was responsible for abusing young girls as young as four years old over a span of more than a decade, specifically 14 years.

Despite maintaining his innocence throughout the trial, Burgess was found guilty on 19 counts related to these disturbing crimes at Peterborough Crown Court.
