MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A 28-year-old man was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison after being convicted of multiple sex offences involving a young girl in West Sussex.Aiden Freeman, of White Star Close in Godalming, Surrey, denied five counts of sexual offences against a girl under 13, with the offences occurring between October 2012 and February 2016.
He argued during police questioning that the victim—who is now an adult—was fabricating the allegations for attention.
The victim supported by specialized officers was just nine years old at the time the abuse started.
On 30 March, Lewes Crown Court convicted Freeman of two counts of sexual assault involving penetration and three counts of raping a girl under 13.
He was later sentenced at the same court on 4 June, to a total term of seven years and six months in prison.
