SOUTHAMPTON MAN ADMITS TRYING TO ENGAGE A 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN SEXUAL ACTIVITY
A man from Southampton has confessed to two separate attempts to engage a young girl in sexual acts.Court proceedings revealed that Adam Steven McCrystal Baker, aged 29 and residing on Cranbury Avenue, tried to persuade a 14-year-old girl to take an indecent photograph of herself.
Additionally, Baker admitted to possessing an extremely pornographic image involving a dog.
He further acknowledged threatening and assaulting PC Sarah Coolahan in Portsmouth on July 16.
Between July 6 and July 11, he failed to notify authorities of a change in his address, as mandated by the Sex Offences Act.
The Basingstoke Magistrates' Court sentenced him to a community order with an up to 50-day rehabilitation activity requirement, an £80 fine, an £85 victim surcharge, and £40 in court costs.
Baker is also required to register as a sex offender for five years.
