ADAM PARK AND SHOCKING BABY ABUSE VIDEOS IN STAFFORDSHIRE

A man identified as Adam Park, a convicted sex offender residing in Staffordshire, has been found in possession of one of the most heinous and disturbing videos depicting the sexual abuse of a one-year-old child.

The footage was described in court as being among the worst imaginable, illustrating an adult male sexually assaulting a very young child.

The discovery of the video occurred during a routine police check, which uncovered disturbing evidence of Park’s criminal behavior.

Authorities found that he had downloaded this vile content onto his device, and further investigations revealed that he had also accessed the dark web through the Tor browser, which is often used to maintain anonymity online.

This discovery confirmed that Park was in breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), a legal restriction imposed to prevent further offenses involving indecent images and activities related to children.

Adam Park, aged 41 and from Fenton in Staffordshire, faced serious charges led to his detention and sentencing.

He was ultimately sentenced to 20 months in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

The courtroom heard how this breach of the SHPO was not isolated but part of a pattern of concerning behavior.

According to prosecutor Mark Brookes, Park had previously been subjected to a three-year community order and a five-year SHPO back in 2016.

These restrictions were scheduled to expire on April 29, 2021.

The recent violations came to light when police officers visited Park’s home on April 18, 2020, as part of a risk assessment.

During this visit, authorities inspected his computer and uncovered evidence of the most serious category of indecent images—Category A, which includes the worst types of content involving children.

Further inspection took place on April 6, 2021, during which police found that Park had accessed a category A indecent image, involving an adult male engaging in sexual acts with a child.

It was revealed that Park had used the Tor browser, a tool that grants users access to the dark web and enables them to remain anonymous online.

The evidence suggested that he intentionally accessed and viewed highly illegal and disturbing material.

Park admitted to the breaches and to creating indecent images of a child in court.

Hamish Noble, representing Park, highlighted that the defendant has struggled with alcohol addiction and lived with his parents at the time of the offenses.

Noble also pointed out that Park had no social outlets, had never been in a long-term relationship, and found his employment stressful, experiencing difficulties with colleagues and bosses.

He explained that Park had a history of dyslexia and childhood bullying, which contributed to his social and psychological issues.

The court heard that Park had acknowledged accessing the Category A images and that he used the Tor browser to do so.

Despite this acknowledgment, the report suggested that he could potentially be managed within the community under certain conditions.

Judge David Fletcher addressed the court by emphasizing the seriousness of Park's violations.

He reminded that Park's previous convictions in 2016 involved possession of indecent images and that a recent inspection revealed he had delved further into illegal online activity.

The judge expressed concern over the absence of significant progress following the initial orders and stressed the gravity of the breach, especially considering the disturbing nature of the image stored on Park’s system.

The judge detailed that Park would serve half of his 20-month sentence behind bars and the remainder on license, highlighting the importance of supervision given his history.

Additionally, he was made subject to a new SHPO, which will last for ten years, signifying a lengthy period during which he will be under strict legal restrictions to prevent further offenses.
