BANBURY MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES
A man named Adam Lydiatt, residing in Poolside Close, Banbury, has been found guilty of multiple child sexual offences.He admitted to committing one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child and attempting to communicate sexually with a minor.
Lydiatt pleaded guilty at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Saturday, May 31.
Subsequently, he was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, July 18, by Judge Emma Nott.
He received a sentence of 28 months in prison for the two offences, along with a sexual harm prevention order that will last for ten years.
Additionally, he was ordered to be on the Sex Offenders Register for the same duration and had his iPhone confiscated through a deprivation order.
A victim surcharge of £228 was also imposed on him.
The case further highlights the ongoing efforts to combat and penalize child sexual abuse.
