There are indecent images. I downloaded them during lockdown. I was bored.”

Authorities found that, at the age of 18, Johnson had downloaded a so-called “paedophiles’ manual,” which contained explicit advice such as “don’t be afraid to rape” and claimed that “each child molester has an average of 35 victims and loves to hear their victims scream.”
At Nottingham Crown Court, prosecutors detailed the extent of Johnson’s possession of illegal images. It was revealed that he possessed a total of 540 indecent images of children, including 65 videos. Among these, 101 images fell into the most severe category, Category A, which is reserved for the most graphic and disturbing material. Additionally, Johnson possessed nine images that were classified as prohibited, meaning they were illegal to possess under any circumstances.
The images he stored depicted extremely graphic scenes involving the torture and abuse of very young children, with some showing babies being raped while they were tied up, blindfolded, and screaming in distress. These images portrayed acts of extreme cruelty and exploitation, highlighting the severity of the crimes involved.
Moreover, Johnson engaged in online chats with other individuals who shared similar perverted interests. During these conversations, he explicitly expressed his disturbing desires, stating, “I would like to f*** babies in front of people. I have no limits. I am into babies.” This language underscores the extent of his depravity and his willingness to share his disturbing fantasies with others.
Johnson, who resides on Valley Road in Bilsthorpe, pleaded guilty to multiple charges. He admitted to three counts of distributing indecent images and five counts of possessing both indecent and prohibited images. His actions and possession of such material have caused significant concern and outrage.
During sentencing, Judge William Harbage KC described Johnson’s crimes as “sickening, disgusting, and perverted.” He emphasized the gravity of the offenses, noting that Johnson not only possessed the material for his own gratification but also distributed a substantial number of images. The judge stated, “It’s bad enough to possess that sort of material for your own sexual gratification, but you have distributed 90 images and videos.”
