Vile man caught with hundreds of photos of child sex abuse jailed for more than three years

VILE MAN CAUGHT WITH HUNDREDS OF PHOTOS OF CHILD SEX ABUSE JAILED FOR MORE THAN THREE YEARS

A repugnant individual named Aaron Moore, aged 27, has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for possessing a large collection of child sex abuse images.

The court heard that police, armed with a warrant, visited his residence in Culmuir Terrace, Croy, on April 12, 2022, based on information that child porn images had been downloaded there.

During a search, officers seized numerous devices and found that Moore had downloaded 526 photos and 55 videos explicitly featuring child sex abuse on two of his iPhones, devices which Moore admitted belonged to him.

Additionally, Moore acknowledged sharing 14 indecent images with another paedophile.

The material was found on his mobile phone, linked to child sex abuse content.

He also admitted to sharing these images on social media.

Moore was also found to have downloaded indecent images of children between January 2017 and April 2022 and had no prior convictions.

He failed to attend a previous court hearing on September 5 of the previous year but was tracked down and has been held in custody since October 4.

Moore was sentenced at Airdrie Sheriff Court to 40 months in prison and will be supervised for 15 months afterward.

Sheriff Paul Haran also placed him on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
