AARON HICKMAN FROM FIFE CAUGHT IN SHOCKING SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN FIFE AND MORAY

In May 2020, a disturbing case of sexual assault and attempted rape unfolded involving Aaron Hickman, a man from Fife, who committed heinous acts against two teenage girls.

The incident took place at a residence in Fife, where Hickman, then 24 years old, targeted a 15-year-old girl and her older sister, leading to a series of traumatic events that would later be revealed in court proceedings.

According to the High Court in Edinburgh, Hickman first assaulted the older sister, who was 16 at the time, by touching her on the buttocks, attempting to kiss her on the mouth, and struggling with her as he pushed her onto a bed and lay on top of her.

The court heard that both girls had been visiting the house, which Hickman had also visited previously.

The older sister had gone upstairs to help her younger sibling search for hair clips, but Hickman followed her and continued his inappropriate conduct.

She froze in fear but managed to push him away and then retreated to the bathroom, locking the door to escape his advances.

Meanwhile, the younger sister, aged 15, was in a different room when she heard her sister lock the door.

Hickman entered her room, kissed her, and pulled up her jumper, top, and bra.

Despite her efforts to push him away, he proceeded to pull down her leggings and pants, molesting her in the process.

She experienced pain and fear as Hickman pounded against her during the assault.

The young girl believed Hickman heard her sister coming out of the bathroom, which caused him to stop his attack.

Prior to these assaults, Hickman had contacted the girls through Snapchat, begging them not to tell anyone, claiming he would lose his job if he did.

The older sister confronted him about his actions, and he responded by saying it would be their fault if he ended up in jail.

The sisters decided to inform their parents, and messages from Hickman were shown to them.

The police were subsequently contacted, leading to Hickman's arrest at the RAF base in Lossiemouth, Moray, in July of the following year.

It was revealed that Hickman, who had joined the Royal Air Force in 2018 and was working as a logistics supplier, was discharged from service following these events.

During the court proceedings, Hickman admitted to attempting to rape the younger girl at a house in Fife on July 7, 2020, by exposing her breasts and rubbing himself against her.

He also pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting her older sister on the same day, which involved touching her buttocks, trying to kiss her, and physically struggling with her.

The court heard that Hickman’s actions caused significant distress to both victims.

The court was informed that Hickman had also visited the house where the girls were staying.

The older sister, feeling uncomfortable, had gone upstairs to look for hair clips, but Hickman followed her and continued his assault.

She managed to push him away and then went to the bathroom, locking the door for safety.

The younger sister, in a different room, heard her sister lock the door and was then assaulted by Hickman, who entered her room, kissed her, and molested her despite her resistance.

She felt pain and fear during the attack, which was interrupted when she heard her sister coming out of the bathroom.

Following the assaults, Hickman sent messages apologizing to the victims, claiming he had lost control and that the events happened too quickly for him to think clearly.

The court noted the seriousness of the charges, and the judge, Lord Uist, emphasized that Hickman had pled guilty to grave sexual offenses.

The case was adjourned until July for the preparation of a background report on Hickman, who had no prior convictions.

He was subsequently placed on the sex offenders’ register, marking a significant legal response to his actions.
