A 25-year-old man named Aaron Gardner attempted to evade authorities by living in a tent in the woods after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He failed to appear in court in Blackpool where he was charged with assaulting his former partner Samantha Parsons on the Golden Mile.
Despite his absence, magistrates found him guilty and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Gardner, originally from Devonshire Road, Clayton le Moors, eventually surrendered himself after his mother provided his mobile phone to the police.
