May 2019 Pervert caught in paedophile hunting sting A pervert that groomed what he believed were young girls online has avoided a prison sentence Aaron Donnelly appeared in court where he admitted several online grooming offences The court was told that Donnelly had contacted the online profiles of who he believed were young girls. Donnelly who worked as a park attendant and part time in a bowling club sent sexually explicit chat with the clear intent of engaging the girls into sexual activity. He sent a total of 15 pictures of his penis and adult pornography to one of the girls Later on in that same chat, Donnelly told the girl he wanted her to use a banana on herself to masturbate. He also showed a sexual interest in her sister even though he was told on numerous occasions that she was just 11 years old. However, the girls did not exist and were infact decoys from various paedophile hunting teams. In April 2018, Donnelly arranged to meet one of the girls. However, instead of a 13 year old girl, Donnelly was greeted by several members of paedophile hunting teams which included: UK database, Shadow Hunters and Redemption The teams questioned Donnelly on his internet activity before ringing the police. The judge sentenced Donnelly to nine months which was suspended for two years He was told that he must complete a 43 day rehabilitation requirement programme A 10 year sexual harm prevention order was put in place and Donnelly was told that he must register as a sex offender
