Blackpool Sexual Abuser
A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple breaches of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO). His name is Aaron Cane, who resides on Furness Avenue, Blackpool. Cane was found to have committed four counts of breaching the conditions of his SHPO and two counts of failing to comply with notification requirements. The court heard that Cane, who had an SHPO that required him to notify police of his address, any places he stays that a person under 18 resides, any other names or aliases he might use, his internet usage history, and his device passwords, knowingly breached these conditions during a routine police check. He was also ordered not to have supervised or unsupervised contact with children under 16 and not to create social media accounts without police approval. DS Kat Knock stated that Cane had clearly known the conditions of his SHPO but nevertheless chose to violate them, fully aware of the consequences. The breach was discovered during a standard police check. The article emphasizes that restrictions like these are put in place to protect the public and that violations will always lead to court action. (Image: Lancs Police)
